AFIDS
The Armed Forces Infectious Diseases Society (AFIDS) serves as a professional forum for the collegial advancement and exchange of knowledge relevant to the practice of Infectious Diseases in the military. The membership is composed of current and prior professionals in the military medical services who practiced Infectious Diseases or whose work related to such practice.
Members of the Society have led the Infectious Diseases communities in each of the Armed Forces as well as held leadership positions more generally in federal service. They are committed to improving the health of service members and their families as well as that of the public.
Work of the Society and its members in this context reflect personal contributions and do not necessarily represent the views of the service departments, the Department of Defense or any other agency of the U.S. Government. The Society is recognized by the Infectious Diseases Society of America.
